Brownstone and brick houses stand on Kent Street between Manhattan and Franklin avenues in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, N.Y. Kent, Greenpoint, Milton, and Noble streets between Manhattan and Franklin avenues have been preserved as a historic district designated by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1982. Old houses and buildings in this district are strictly inspected in terms of changing original shape and color to match them with neighboring buildings classic style. Some small frame houses on other streets in Greenpoint have been replaced with condos. Greenpoint forms the northwestern border of Brooklyn with the East River and the northern edge of Queens. This area used to be a manufacturing neighborhood mostly with a large number of Polish immigrants. Young artists looking for cheap, open space moved in this area. And, today, young, professional families are moving in as the neighborhood has been gentrified. May 26, 2013. Photo by Joeun Lee.

Our little ode to the Concrete Jungle and the ladies who are fierce in it!
In Byron, we are blessed with the freedom to flit about in our cheesecloth (ok, maybe not everyone).. so it is very impressive to see the art of dressing in the city. The need for day to night ensembles and always a love of the classic denim, sometimes we wish that places like New York City were a closer flight so we could just soak it up for a weekend!
