Last week a few new friendships were made. I chatted fave podcasts with one of my fave magazine editors, I got a lesson in millennial thinking from an 18 year old blogger (who is seriously blowing us away with a maturity well beyond her years!), I met lovely people who I’ve only known through a screen, and magazine folk I’ve only known from flipping through glossy pages. Oh and we shared our first ever swim collection, Isla Bay, with all these new friends!

In life, after all, especially in the face of a busy business and motherhood, new relationships are like blossoming florals in the garden of life!

Initially we were going to launch swim in Sydney, but we kept coming back to Byron Bay. How could we not showcase it against a backdrop of our home town?! It was the most perfectly divine early Summer’s day, and the first stop was our boutique where our guests got to view our swim and our Summer collection Lovebird as well as meet some of our design team.

Cue a few decked out Kombi’s to take us to Wategos for a gorgeous lunch. Dear friend Elsa Pataky, opened the lunch telling our guests how she came about our little brand many years ago and how we become friends. Elsa is the epitome of the Spell woman, warm and confident, light and generous – she’s simply stunning inside and out.

We are truly humbled (and overwhelmed!!) at how much everyone loved Isla Bay and Lovebird… bring on a dreamy Summer filled with friends and popping colour!
