James Jean is one of my all time favorite artists. His work is psychedelically enigmatic, a paradox, with his cotton candy colour palate and subject matter bordering on pure darkness. I’ve been intrigued by it in the same way I was intrigued (and spellbound) by Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman back in the 90s.
I once had the ultimate privilege of taking a life drawing class with him on one of tours to Australia and I have never been more blown away with the use of colour and flowing undefined lines.
I saw the divine digital print silk scarves above on his blog here.
