What a perfect match made in heaven! Teresa Oman modelling for The 2 Bandits! Her dewy glow, long flowing locks and lightly freckled nose… All innocence and cheeky-cool wrapped into one. I don’t know how they found each other, (and I’m secretly a bit jealous that they did) but it’s such a perfect fit. She’s a jewellers muse, so petite that she doesn’t dwarf the jewels. We always loved shooting her in earrings – because you can take the camera right up close and her skin is always flawless, and her big eyes don’t shy at the closeness of the lens.
I asked Tamar about the inspiration behind ‘The Circle Game’ collection, named after one of her favourite Joni Mitchel songs, and I was so glad I asked, because she shared a really intimate story behind part of the collection:
‘The collection is made up of circles and half circles to represent the cycle of life.
2 pieces, Leo’s sticks, and Leo’s arrow are very special to me. My friends Maura and Ari lost their son, Leo 2 weeks shy of his due date. It’s a really scary yet real situation that a lot of people go through. Sticks and arrows represent Leo’s / a child’s toy. 20% off all sales goes to the MISS foundation. A non profit that has helped Maura and Ari in their grieving process. I want to honour Leo and bring awareness to the issue.’
I was so moved by Tamar’s words and Maura and Ari’s story, especially as I’ve had friends go through similar traumatic losses. If you’d like to shop the collection, and specifically support the Miss Foundation by shopping Leo’s Sticks and Arrows.
